New and Used Scooters
In addition to electric scooter repair
services, I now have a full line of new scooters in my
shop for you to test ride. From the full sized
Equinox, that will do 30mph and climb all but the steepest hills, to the cute little
Viza Volt for the smallest kids!
If you are in the Seattle-Tacoma area, stop by and ride these fun
vehicles, even if you are not serious about making a purchase yet.

Of course, you can purchase a scooter from my store with complete confidence as I only
stock the highest quality scooters and I service what I sell. In fact, I repair most
makes and models of electric scooters, and I stock most needed
parts for most of the more common scooters.

Parts
I try to stock as many of the most often
requested
parts
for various electric scooters as I have
space for. While I mostly stock parts for the scooters I sell, I also try to stock some
parts for 'e-scooters' and other popular makes. While it is time-consuming to search for
parts for obscure scooters, if you are having difficulty in finding a certain part, feel
free to email me and if I have extra time, I will see if I can find your part.

I have also just opened an account with a bicycle parts supplier, and now stock
various accessories and bicycle related tools and
parts. As an example, I stock helmets, locks, pumps, head and tail lights,
seats, suspension seat posts, baskets, computers, chain lube, bells and other
similar stuff.

Technical Information
As I come across various information and
fixes that I feel may be interesting to a number of people, I will try to write them up and
post them under
Tech Info.
You can also find notes
about scooter laws, wiring diagrams, and advice on choosing and maintaining an
electric scooter. Often, if I get the same general (or specific) question
asked frequently, I will try to save one of my responses and post it under this
heading.

I always have a backlog of these projects,
but if you check back from time to time, I will be continuously posting new articles. You
may also request a new article if you think it will be useful to a number of people.

Battery seems to be charged, but your scooter still won't go?

Your battery still
might be the problem:
Many scooter problems
are battery related. The type of battery most often found in electric scooters is a
sealed lead acid battery. These batteries have no 'memory effect', but they need to be
kept charged. Any lead acid battery will slowly discharge during periods of non-use.
Letting a scooter stand with a dead battery will damage the battery.

Quality chargers will not attempt to charge a battery that has been severely discharged
because of the danger of overheating both the charger and the battery (I have seen poor
quality chargers melt severely discharged batteries). Most chargers will show a green
light in this case. The green light means that either the battery is charged, or the
charger is not connected to a 'chargeable' battery. If your battery does not seem to be
charged, and the charger goes to green almost immediately, and you haven't charged the
battery in a long time, it may be that it has been discharged for too long and will
have to be replaced.
Rule of thumb: Always put your scooter on the charger right after riding. Go
here for more instructions on how to properly care for your
scooter battery.
